New Breed of Dentists Accommodate Patients In New Ways
February
7, 2000 --
Scarsdale,NY - Diamond Dental, P.C. located at 10 Dunwoodie
Street in Scarsdale, NY today announced plans to accommodate patients by
offering Saturday appointments and extended evening hours, making visits to the dentist
more convenient for busy working professionals. George Lee, D.D.S. and Danny
Salem, D.D.S., of Diamond Dental, are responding to patients' requests, citing
scheduling conflicts, the need to take time off or leave work early to attend to
their oral care needs. "In the new millennium we can't do business the
‘old fashioned’ way," remarks Drs. Lee and Salem, "we must make
adjustments to facilitate our clientele, and this is merely the first
step," the two former classmates remarked.
Representing a "new breed" of dentists, the recently
established Westchester practice is technologically equipped with the latest
state-of-the art panoramic x-ray machine that uses less radiation (no film in
the mouth) to assess patients' needs. Additionally, Drs. Lee and Salem have
experience and background with patients of all ages and are proficient in
providing perspectives in a wide range of oral care services - everything from
periodontics, orthodontics to cosmetic improvements. "It's not just 'drill
and fill,' any longer," they are quick to note. "It is imperative that
today's dentists be medically-trained if they want to keep step with the changes
taking place," remarked Dr. Lee. "Understanding that the mouth is
considered the 'gateway' to the body," Dr. Salem continued, 'our training
enables us to provide the most up-to-date techniques available to patients
today," he concluded.
Both Drs. Lee and Salem received medical training at some of the
areas most prestigious health centers including Hackensack Medical, Columbia
Presbyterian, North Shore, Mount Sinai among others enabling them to bring fresh
perspectives to patients with special health issues. Fast becoming the new wave
in oral care, media attention is now focusing on the relationship of
medical/health issues that are impacted upon through the month, such as the
recent "Dateline" and “Today Show” NBC magazine's segment on how
dental plaque relates to heart problems.
